RHYTHMIC KASHI invites all to the LIVE PERFORMANCE of PREMANKITA ROY / GAUDIYA DANCE PERFORMANCE / VENUE:  RHYTHMIC KASHI/ VARANASI / Sunday 17th July 2022 (8:00 PM onwards)

Premankita Roy performs Gaudiya Dance, the Gaudiyo Nrityo of Bengal on  17 July 2022 live at Rhythmic Kashi, Varanasi.

Gaudiya Nritya is a classical dance of Bengal and eastern parts of our country and it is mostly based on mythological stories.

It’s a unique composite combination of music, literature, poetry and rhythm.

Premankita Roy has received Junior National Scholarship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), the premier institution pioneered for the promotion of strengthening Indian art and linking education with culture under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

She is pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture now.

Premankita Roy is the disciple of  Dr.Mahua Mukherjee, the exponent of Indian Classical dance form Gaudiya Nritya, Researcher and Professor, Department of Dance, Rabindra Bharati University.

Dr. Mahua Mukherjee has significantly contributed to popularise this ancient dance form which has almost disappeared due to lack of patronage in the country.

The ancient dance form has been recognised as an Indian classical dance by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
