MUSIC FESTIVAL IN LOVING MEMORIES OF PADMA BHUSHAN PANDIT RAJAN MISRA JI

Two days Music Festival in loving memories of legendary musician Padma Bhushan Pandit Rajan Misra ji will be held at Ramagya School Auditorium, Noida, Delhi NCR on Saturday, 20 April 2024 and Sunday, 21 April 2024 @ 5.00 PM.

Padma Bhushan Pandit Rajan Misra Ji (28 October 1951 – 25 April 2021) carried the rich tradition of the Banaras Gharana of Hindustani Classical Music to great heights.

‘SANGEET SANDHYA’, an artists forum has been engaged in creating awareness and appreciation for Indian Classical music, dance and traditional music of India for over twenty three years and conducted enumerable music events participating eminent and young talents in Delhi NCR and other parts of India to preserve the cultural heritage of our country. 

Several ‘Padma’ awardees and artists of international eminence too have performed for ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ during the last twenty-three years. Even during the Covid-19 period, ‘Sangeet Sandhya’ managed to organize these concerts in a limited way, through online mode, due to the restrictions imposed on off line performances.

 “In our ongoing pursuits, a festival of music is being organised on Saturday, the 20th April 2024 and Sunday, 21st April 2024 at 5 PM onwards in the beautiful auditorium of Ramagya School, Sector 50, Noida in the musical memory of legendary Padma Bhushan Pandit Rajan Misra Ji, where eminent artists of global repute would perform,” says the renowned Hindustani Classical vocalist Vidushi Dr. Nabanita Chowdhary, founder member of Sangeet Sandhya, Noida, NCR Delhi and one of the Senior most disciples of Pandit Rajan Misra Ji.

On the 20th April 2024, Pandit Santosh Nahar, Vidushi Shobha Choudhary and Pandit Abhay Rustum Sopori will enthral the audience.

On the 21st April 2024, Pandit Shounak Abhisheki, Pandit Chetan Joshi and Pandit Ritesh Rajnish Mishra will steal the hearts of the discerning audience of Delhi NCR.

Renowned musicians, Pandit Mithilesh Jha, Pandit Durjay Bhaumik, Shri Sudip Chowdhury and Janab Zakir Dholpuri will accompany the great artists on the Tabla and Harmonium.

The disciples of Vidushi Dr. Nabanita Chowdhary will commence the concerts with their Sangeetanjali to Pandit Rajan Misra Ji. The entry to the event is FREE for music lovers living in Delhi NCR.
