Tribal Echoes in Modern Strokes: Mounissamy’s Contemporary Rock Art 2025 in Puducherry

Experience the vivid world of Contemporary Rock Art – 2025, a striking solo exhibition by renowned artist C. Mounissamy, whose works blend tribal soul with modern expression. 

Opening on 18th July till 28th July 2025, at the Alliance Française of Pondichéry, this show presents a vibrant series of paintings and drawings that echo the earthy rhythm of cave art reimagined in bold colors. 

“As an artist, I have  conducted exhibitions at various levels. Most of my works have been exhibited in National and International exhibitions. My works on canvas mostly reflect vibrant colours of nature and a synthesis of traditional art  and modern art,” says renowned artist  Mounissamy.

“A rainbow is a celestial painting by nature—a rare sight seen after a drizzle. Similarly, my works always reflect colors that blend seamlessly into our daily lives. Through vibrant hues, I strive to capture the moods and dreams of living beings, creating art that resonates deeply with the essence of life,” reflects the renowned artist, drawing a gentle parallel between nature’s fleeting wonders and the lasting poetry of color in his work.
