MOMENTS OF SOLITUDE – MONUMENTAL SCULPTURES OF TOMASZ KOCLEGA
GALLERY 1000A, New Delhi presents MOMENTS OF SOLITUDE – a solo exhibition of sculptures by renowned artist Tomasz Koclega from Poland, showcases his figurative sculptures with the human being as the leading theme.
It is his sculptural work that the artist predominantly engages in, seeing it as the sense of his life and the most appropriate means for expressing emotions and searching for the truth of human existence.
The work of Tomasz Koclega is focused on human nature with its desires, emotions and dreams that the viewers easily enjoy the figurative art works, usually of classical bronzes with additional materials, like glass, stones or gold which are playing an important role in his sculptures. He has presented his works in many public spaces in Poland and abroad including in the USA, Japan, China, UK, France, Russia, Belgium, Germany, South Korea, Indonesia, Hongkong, Austria, Finland and the Czech Republic.
Tomasz Koclega has won many awards at the prestigious Snow Sculptures Contests in China, Japan, Russia and Poland. His monumental sculptures adorn many public places all over the world including at Saint Louise (USA), New Delhi, Vilnius (Lithuania), Zlin(Czech Republic) as well as in many cities of Poland.
The internationally acclaimed figurative Sculptor Tomasz Koclega from Poland now works as a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He has given guest lectures at universities in the USA, India, Finland and the Czech Republic.
