MEGHNADBADH KAVYA DANCE DRAMA AT KOLKATA
Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Kolkata celebrated 200th Birth anniversary of eminent Poet and Playwright Michael Madhusudan Dutta who is known for his celebrated Bengali trilogy: Tilottama Sambhava Kavya, Meghnad Badh Kavya and Brajagana Kavya.
Meghnadvadh Kavya Dance drama is based on his most famous epic, Meghnad Badh Kavya presenting Ravana and his son Indrajit in a different genre where music, poetry, movements and dance mesmerised the stage.
Dr. Soumya Bhowmick (Indrajit/Meghnad), Mandodari (Dr. Satabdi Acharya), Chitrangada (Dr. Paromita Banerjee), Ananya Ghosh (Pramila,wife of Meghnad), Shubhodip Chakraborti (Bibhishan), Makaraksha (Jayanta Biswas) and Ravana (Ayan Mukherjee) performed on stage.
