MASTERING THE MOSAIC – CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF ARTISTIC JOURNEY OF ARTIST R. RAJENDRAN
Thiru N. RANGASWAMY, Hon. Chief Minister of Puducherry inaugurated the mega show – MASTERING THE MOSAIC, celebrating 25 years of artistic journey of the multi- talented brilliance of the renowned artist R. RAJENDRAN, founder of Assist World Records, Puducherry.
Artist R. Rajendra’s decades-long artistic journey and diverse stages of his multi- talented brilliance and its evolutions were discussed at Exhibition House, Goubert Avenue, Puducherry.
Assist World Records Research Foundation was formed with a motive to help all people in exhibiting their extraordinary talent to the world.
“Assist World Records reached more than 1.5 crore people involved around India and Worldwide. In our Assist World Record -2017 Book, we had covered nearly 1000 records with different categories like Adventure, Art & Craft, Collections, Creativity, Eat & Drink, Endurance, Entertainment, Human Body, Human Story, Inventions, Martial Arts, Mathematics, Memory, Painting, Physically Challenged, Social Service, Sports, Strength of a Man, Strength of a Women, Technology, Travel and Yoga. ASSIST is the door to Achievement, Glory and Recognition,” says R. Rajendran, the founder of the Foundation.
“Hon. President Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is the main inspiration for my journey. I have conducted ‘Non-stop 100 hours painting Portrait’ of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam with a cause relating to ‘Vision 2020’ in 2003.
In 2004, I have painted for 51 hours by ‘mouth art’ about Tsunami and collected clothes and other materials for assisting Tsunami affected people in the country,” says R.Rajendran, founder of Assist World Records Research Foundation who holds honorary Doctorate for his service in the field of World Records. He is a Computer Science graduate and Master of Business Administration in HR.
In those days, I have struggled a lot while planning to do the world records. I struggled a lot without proper guidance. There were many protocols to do an attempt at that time and I was very blank. When I achieved a record, I realized the situation of other record holders, so started Assist world Records, an institution to assist every achievers in the world.
“In 2006, I was honoured ‘Limca Book of Records’ for 127 hours ‘Non – stop painting of A.P.J Abdul Kalam portrait using mouth’. This painting was especially recognized because the portrait has many human faces if seen closer. In 2007, another social cause painting, 12 days ‘Non – stop painting by mouth on Mother Teresa’ was created and this great noble cause painting has been certified by ‘Guinness World Records’. At present Assist World Records have more than 3 Crore plus people involved all over the world and motivates many youngsters in the field of social service also now,” Rajendran explains his decades long artistic journey.
Renowned artist R.Rajendran has conducted innumerable social cause programmes including SAVE NATURE – International Day for the Preservation of Ozone Layer on 16 September 2014; MY DREAM MY INDIA- National Youth Day, 12 January 2014; Assist World Records conducted with Sarva Shiksha Abihyan, Tamil Nadu, in the title ‘Most Number of Sensational Awareness in Short Time’ with 2015 students on 4 January 2015; CLIMATE CHANGE AND CLEAN INDIA campaign of ‘366 days Largest Painting Exhibition’ in 2016; MAKE YOUR MARK 2020 TO EXPLORE THE TALENT IN YOU in 2017; Assist World Records Launched the 5 Years Book of ‘Assist World Records – 2017’ at the Inaugural of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s memorial on 27 July 2017 at Rameshwaram; 150 World Records Photographs Exhibition (awakening to Zeal) at Exhibiton House, Sri Aurobindo Ashram Art Gallery, Puducherry and many more painting campaign for spreading social messages.
Artist Rajendran has participated in many art and photography shows including ‘A Journey of a Mystic Artist in the Wilderness’ (Photography Exhibitons) 2023; 25 years journey of multi-talented brilliance ‘MASTERING THE MOSAIC’ 2023.
The mega show – MASTERING THE MOSAIC, celebrating 25 years of artistic journey of the multi- talented brilliance of the renowned artist R. RAJENDRAN marks his achievements in creating records and awareness to raising funds for charity and relief to the victims affected by natural calamities like Tsunami in the country.
