MANORATH INSTITUTE OF DANCE AND CULTURE GARIA’S ANNUAL MEET 2024 IN KOLKATA
Join for an enchanting evening at the Manorath Institute of Dance and Culture Garia’s Annual Meet 2024, taking place on today, 3 October 2024, at 5:00 PM in Kolkata.
This prestigious event will feature esteemed guests including Guru Kalavati Devi, a renowned Manipuri dance exponent and retired professor from Rabindra Bharati University; Prof. (Dr.) Sruti Bandopadhyay from Visva Bharati University and SNA awardee; Prof. (Dr.) Debasish Mondal, HOD of Instrumental Music and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Rabindra Bharati University; Shri. Sudip Srimal, Director of Nehru Children Museum and Shri. Pallab Roy, King of Cossimbazar Rajbari, Kolkata.
The program will witness a grand felicitation of honorable guests, followed by their inspiring speeches.
The evening will commence with a symbolic act of watering the plant by Guru Kalavati Devi, Prof. (Dr.) Debashish Mondal, Prof. (Dr.) Somnath Sinha and Sri Sudip Srimal, signifying growth and prosperity.
This will be followed by an inaugural dance performed by the mothers of Manorath students, depicting the nine days of Navaratri and the commencement of Devi Paksha. The students of Manorath will then enchant the audience with melodious group songs.
The classical dance segment will feature a series of captivating performances: Ganesh, Saraswati, Lakshmi and Siva Vandana by batch 1 students; Pushpanjali – a Bharatnatyam presentation by batch 2 and Vairavi-stuti, another Bharatnatyam presentation by batch 3.
Dr. Iliya Das Mukherjee will mesmerize with a Manipuri presentation of Radhanartan. The evening will continue with Arun Alor Anjali, a Rabindranritya presentation by Manorath. The grand finale will be the Chitrangada Tagore Dance-drama presented by the Sruti Performing Troupe, directed by Prof. (Dr.) Sruti Bandopadhyay.
The event will be gracefully anchored by Mrs. Jayashree Bhattacharya and Dr. Sugata Das. Don’t miss this celebration of culture and artistry!
