MAKE YOUR OWN TERRACOTTA PLANTERS ON THE WHEEL

Venkatesan. K, the recipient of the prestigious National Merit Award in Terracotta conducts a workshop on traditional pottery by using a wheel, the invention that brought a revolution in making clay vessels centuries back.

 He will teach the students the basics of making clay vessels on the wheel using the most eco-friendly material, clay.

Venkatesan belongs to the fifth generation of the traditional Terracotta family from Villianur, Pondicherry district. He has been in the profession for the last thirty years and is an expert in traditional as well as contemporary terracotta.
