Live Solo Tabla Performance / Pandit Ashok Moitro

Rhythmic Kashi will conduct a live solo Tabla Performance by the renowned Tabla Maestro Pandit Ashok Moitro on 26 June 2022 at 8.00 PM

Pandit Ashok Moitro  is a well-known Indian Tabla artist  and has started his musical training at a very young age.

He has performed innumerable shows and has been associated and performed with several popular musicians at various places in India and abroad including United Kingdom, Netherland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Yugoslavia, Germany and Afghanistan.

 Pandit Ashok Moitro has performed at the prestigious Indian Classical Music Fraternity at Kabul University, Afghanistan and Music Centre under the Ministry of Culture, Afghanistan on deputation from 1986 to 1988 as an ITEC expert through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi. He also performed at University of Cambridge, England and Vedic University Netherland during his Europe tour in 1992. He also worked as a Visiting Professor at the Vedic University, Netherland.  

Pandit Ashok Moitro has achieved several awards from various organisations in  India and abroad.

He studied  Master’s degree in Tabla from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

Now he lives in Greater Noida and gives guidance to the students in the traditional Banaras Gharana.

Rhythmic Kashi is an Online Musical Platform based in Varanasi founded for the promotion of Indian classical music and conducted many live programmes of renowned artists.    

Khomen Moitra, the administrator of the Rhythmic Kashi has been taking the leadership in conducting various art performances for the last twenty seven years in the Holy City, Varanasi.
