Aditi Shankar Sawant: A Young Kathak Artist with a Passion for Tradition
Aditi Shankar Sawant is a dedicated Kathak dancer who has been refining her craft since the age of six. Under the expert guidance of Guru Smt. Chitra Arvind, she has mastered the intricate footwork, graceful movements, and expressive storytelling that define this classical dance form.
Beyond her artistic journey, Aditi is deeply committed to education and social impact. Inspired by her grandparents’ lifelong dedication to teaching, she has raised funds to support a village school in Maharashtra, ensuring that deserving students receive the resources they need to thrive. Aditi dedicates her Rangamanch Pravesh performance to support education at this village school and all proceeds will be contributed to this noble cause of improving the infrastructure and to institute a yearly scholarship for the deserving students.
Aditi Shankar Sawant is currently studying in 11th grade at National Public School, Indira Nagar, Bangalore and performed at multiple classical programs . She also completed Praveshika Pratham examination with distinction under the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. She completed Grade 4 of the Trinity College, London examination for Piano and Jazz music with distinction.
