KATHAK DANCE AND GUITAR PRESENTATIONS IN KENDRA’S MONTHLY SERIES PARAMPARA

PRACHEEN KALA KENDRA, a premier organization dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of Indian Classical art and culture organized another episode of its regular Series – Parampara, showcasing the talents of the students of Kendra at  M.L. Koser Indoor Auditorium, Chandigarh on 11 February 2024  @ 4:00 PM onwards.

Kathak Dance under the direction of Kathak faculty of Kala Kendra Mrs. Rakhi was presented in the monthly Series, Parampara. The students commenced with Ganesh Vandana followed by the traditional Kathak presentations,  in which they presented tode, tukde aamad, paran, gat nikas bhav, Chakkardar   in teen tal, Jhap taal and Dhamar tal amidst great applause. They paid tribute to their respected Guru and Lord Vishnu by offering ‘Guru Vandana’ and ‘Visnu Vandana’ on stage.

 Students also presented melodious rag Bilawal and other melodic presentations on Guitar under the direction of Shri. Kartik Saini, Music faculty, Kala Kendra.

As many as 40 students of Kathak presented the intricate patterns of Kathak in inimitable style and showcased their talents before the audience. Students also presented immense talent in their instrument, Guitar during the monthly programme.
