Kala-Yoga Satsanga: A Soulful Cultural Journey Through Maharashtra’s Sacred Heritage
Step into a week of wonder with Kala-Yoga Satsanga, a soulful cultural tour across Maharashtra’s timeless treasures.
A Journey Through Time and Silence
From October 21st to 27th, 2025, a gentle pilgrimage unfolds—moving through ancient caves, quiet temples and landscapes steeped in centuries of devotion.
Like a sacred rhythm, the journey flows from the hill fortress of Tringalwadi to the meditative calm of Igatpuri, then into the sculpted grandeur of Ellora and the painted serenity of Ajanta.
Each step invites reflection, each site a verse in India’s timeless song of spirit and stone.
- Tringalwadi (Oct 21): Tringalwadi is a quiet hilltop village where nature and history meet. Its 10th-century fort once guarded the trade route between Konkan and Nashik. After the Battle of Mahuli in 1636, it was ceded to the Mughals—but its strategic importance endured. Today, the fort and its ancient caves offer a peaceful retreat into Maharashtra’s layered past.
- Igatpuri (Oct 22): Nestled in Nashik’s misty mountains, which form part of the Vindhya ranges, this town is home to Dhamma Giri, one of the world’s leading centers for Vipassana meditation.
- Ellora (Oct 23–24): Marvel at the majestic rock-cut temples, where Buddhist, Hindu and Jain traditions converge in stone.
- Ajanta (Oct 25–26): Behold the serene gaze of the Buddha and the vibrant murals that whisper stories from 2,000 years ago.
