In-Between the Dialogue: Spasht–Aspasht — Exhibition of Jyoti Singh & Shreya Singh at Gurugram
Gallery ArtCradle presents In‑Between the Dialogue: Spasht–Aspasht, a two‑artist exhibition weaving together the distinct yet interconnected practices of Jyoti Singh and Shreya Singh, curated by Asmita Grover. On view from 25 September to 6 October 2026 at DLF Phase 1, Gurugram, the show unfolds as a quiet conversation between two creative voices.
At its heart, the exhibition explores the subtle terrain where dialogue transcends words. Each canvas becomes a pause, a reflection, a moment of discovery—where individuality meets resonance, and silence speaks as eloquently as speech. Together, artists Jyoti and Shreya trace the delicate balance between clarity (Spasht) and ambiguity (Aspasht). Their works encourage viewers to step into the in-between spaces—those intimate thresholds where creativity becomes connection, and self‑discovery blooms through artistic exchange.
Shreya Singh, a young artist, explores the balance between movement and stillness, giving form to feelings that words often miss. Jyoti Singh’s own creative journey began while nurturing her daughter’s dreams. It has since grown into a world of intricate detail, imagination and emotion on canvas and paper.
The two practices never merge into one voice. They stand independently and speak to each other in a quiet exchange. Spasht–Aspasht, expressed through colour, texture and gesture, and everything left unspoken. It is a story of individuality and togetherness, and of how encouragement becomes possibility.
Speaking about the curatorial vision, Asmita Grover says, “Bringing their works together, the exhibition does not attempt to merge the two practices into a single artistic vocabulary. Instead, it allows them to exist independently while remaining connected through the relationship that brought them into the same creative space. Their works engage in a quiet exchange, reflecting how artistic journeys can develop alongside one another while retaining their individual voices.”
Asmita Grover is a museum curator and heritage professional specialising in museum interpretation, historical research, exhibition development and cultural heritage. She holds an MPhil from Trinity College Dublin and has academic training in History, Museum Studies, and Public History & Cultural Heritage.
ArtCradle
Founded in 2023 by artist Malabika Saikia, with Panchi Mahanta as Partner, it was conceived as a living space where artists, collectors and art enthusiasts meet, exchange ideas and keep the dialogue evolving.
Its programme is as varied as the art world itself. Established practitioners share the space with emerging voices, and the work ranges across painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
