IMPULSE: A World Music Ensemble at New Delhi
A spark. A rhythm. A heartbeat that begins in silence. On 29 November 2025, New Delhi will witness the powerful debut of IMPULSE– a world music ensemble. Presented by Vrindan Foundation and UMAK, New Delhi, this inaugural performance by UMAK’s students promises to celebrate a fusion of classical depth and global sound.
The ensemble will feature a vibrant lineup: Dipanker Roy, Amir Khan, Sujoy Chakravarty, Sounok Banerjee, Anand Kishore Chauhan and Shankumay Debnath. Together, they brought to life a rich tapestry of instruments—Mohan Veena, Sarangi, Ghatam, Guitar, Percussion and Vocal—each voice adding its own colour to the evening.

From mystical ragas to modern rhythms, IMPULSE will take audiences on a journey through diverse traditions. The Prateek Chaudhuri Sabhaghar is set to resonate with freedom, harmony and youthful energy. More than a concert, it will be a celebration of sound, soul and the spirit of learning.
Vrindan Foundation, a non-profit service organization in New Delhi shines as a beacon of empowerment, offering solace and strength in a fast-paced world.
“Vrindan Foundation has been supporting the physically and mentally challenged children and economically weaker artists in all means, providing the facility of education and platform to be recognized. Vrindan lights the lamp in many lives of poor children by teaching them music through the workshops and empowering the youth to be self-dependent and earn their living through performing visual arts or through art and craft design.” – Arunangshu Chaudhury, founder of Vrindan Foundation
