Vijender Sharma is possibly one of the most brilliant exponents of the genre of photorealism in India. Excellence in this form demands an extremely high level of skill of both eye and hand, and a rigorous schooling. The significant thing however is not his great virtuosity but that thus transcends mere academism with a satirical world view which is very much his own.

Vijender Sharma has conducted many solo and group exhibitions. He has received many awards including Sahitya Kala Parishad Award, Pandit Ravi Shankar Award, New Delhi, AIFACS(1st Prize) Painting, Raja Ravi Varma Samman, Mumbai.
He has contributed his paintings for T.V Serials and movies like B.R Chopra’s Mahabharata and Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana.
His paintings adorn many galleries in India and abroad including in the UK, USA, Dubai, Japan, Denmark, Paris, Sweden, Singapore, Australia, France and Italy.
