Opening on February 3rd, 2025, and running until February 28th, 2025 (except Sundays), this exhibition marks Ratnadeep’s first solo presentation in New Delhi. The gallery’s permanent space at Connaught Place will host this captivating display, which spans two floors and features large paintings and several works on paper.
Artist Ratnadeep Adivrekar, born in Mumbai and currently based in Mumbai and Dubai, is renowned for his vivid, colorful paintings that explore the relationship between philosophies, self, the world and time.
In “I Remember You from Tomorrow,” the artist delves into the realm of devotion, engaging themes of inspired connection to work, art and the new world.
In his latest work, Ratnadeep Adivrekar explores themes of thought, history, and myth in an abstract space. He blurs the lines between reality and imagination, introducing surreal aspects with subjects in contemplation. This unique approach creates a captivating experience, inviting viewers to explore their own imagination and perception. The organizers highlight these elements in their press release, emphasizing the innovative nature of Ratnadeep’s work.
THE ARTISTIC VISION OF RATNADEEP ADIVREKAR
In “I Remember You from Tomorrow,” Ratnadeep Adivrekar contemplates devotion—both to creative endeavors and the soul. The artist’s studio becomes a space where hand and mind are in constant dialogue, blending reality and imagination. Astute viewers will notice that some paintings depicted in this piece can be found hanging in the gallery exhibition.
“Ratnadeep places the painter as a summoner, bringing objects into the material world from another realm. Taking cues from performances of the Fluxus period or mythological folklore, Ratnadeep intertwines fierce gestural notes. While engaging with modernism, he flips it, tenderly but decisively, using mythmaking to navigate turbulent times,” says the organizers of the Show.
This exhibition invites viewers to explore the depths of their own imagination and perception, making it a truly captivating experience.
