3 OCTOBER 2021 GRETA THUNBERG LEADS CLIMATE PROTEST
Greta Thunberg led a protest march in Milan at the Youth4Climate Conference ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26)to be held in Glasgow. “Hope doesn’t come from politicians’ blah, blah, blah.” “Hope doesn’t come from inaction and empty promises that everything will be alright, they say trust us we are doing everything we can, that is not hope. Hope is this, hope is us, the people, hope is when people gather to make change.” Greta Thunberg is critical of the politicians’ pretensions and their inaction. Young Climate Champions from the 197 member countries of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change met in Milan from 28 September to 30 September 2021 and proposed concrete solutions, “advocating for climate justice”.
