Glory Dance Festival 2025: A Celebration of Gaudiya Nritya and Artistic Legacy

Gaudiya Nrityakala Bharati proudly presents the Glory Dance Festival 2025, a vibrant confluence of classical heritage and contemporary creativity. Set to unfold on 27th December 2025 at Rajiv Bhawan, Silchar, this evening of dance and music promises to be a luminous tribute to the timeless spirit of Gaudiya Nritya.

The festival opens with an immersive Workshop on Gaudiya Dance, inviting enthusiasts and students to delve into the nuances of this evocative classical form. Guided by seasoned practitioners, the session offers a rare opportunity to engage with the technique, rhythm, and emotive depth that define Gaudiya Nritya.

A highlight of the evening is the Guest Artist Program, featuring stellar performances by Dr. Soumya Bhowmick, Jayanta Biswas and Pandit Amitava Mukharjee, whose soulful Gaudiya singing will elevate the atmosphere. The program is artistically directed by the eminent Dr. Mahua Mukherjee, whose vision continues to shape and preserve the legacy of Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Kolkata.

Adding youthful vibrance, the Creative Dance segment by school students showcases emerging talent and fresh interpretations of classical themes. This is followed by Nrityanatya: Behular Bibartan, a dramatic dance narrative that reimagines folklore with poetic finesse and choreographic brilliance.

The evening culminates in a “Collage of Bhupen Hazarika”, a heartfelt homage to the legendary bard whose songs echo with social consciousness and lyrical beauty.
