Gaudiya Nritya Dance Festival in Silchar: A Celebration of Heritage and Harmony

Scheduled for 28th December 2025 at Rajiv Bhawan, Silchar, this enchanting evening of dance and music will pay luminous tribute to the timeless spirit of Gaudiya Nritya. With its rich blend of tradition and innovation, the festival promises to be a cultural milestone for Assam and beyond.

The celebration begins with an immersive Workshop on Gaudiya Dance from 25th to 27th December 2025, inviting students and enthusiasts to explore the nuances of this evocative classical form. Guided by seasoned practitioners, the workshop offers a rare chance to experience the rhythm, technique, and emotive depth that define Gaudiya Nritya.

A highlight of the festival is the Guest Artist Program, featuring stellar performances by Dr. Satabdi Acharya and Sayantika Majumdar. The evening will be further elevated by the soulful vocals of Pandit Amitava Mukherjee, whose artistry will add a musical dimension to the celebration. Audiences will also witness the captivating Dance Drama – Abhisar by Rabindranath Tagore, directed by the renowned Chandan Majumdar, bringing literature and dance together in a powerful performance.

The Dance Festival shines under the artistic direction of the eminent Dr. Mahua Mukherjee, whose vision continues to nurture and preserve the treasured legacy of Gaudiya Nritya Bharati, Kolkata.
