FUN WITH CLAY: INSPIRATION OF THE OCEAN

A two session workshop in which the participants will be taught to make beautiful Ceramic Art, inspired by Ocean at TASMAI, Pondicherry.

Nandini Hirianniah, a self-taught Ceramic artist who is inspired  by nature, had the chance to interact with Clay and explored the possibilities to make non-functional artworks using hand-building techniques during her entrepreneurial career. She has been helped by a mentor from Auroville, Pondicherry to create wonderful artworks.

In the first Session, participants will use Clay and create art inspired by the Deep Ocean using their hands and minimum tools.

In the second Session, participants will colour the art pieces using glaze, the colour used on clay, and will be fired in the electric kiln. The participants  can take home, maximum of two completed beautiful glazed art works.
