His classical and semi-classical training was further refined under the respected maestros Pandit Shyam Lal and Pandit Mahadev Prasad Mishra, whose mentorship deepened his understanding of the gharana’s intricate nuances. Today, his artistry continues to evolve through advanced training with Dr. Prahlad Nath (BHU) and Pandit Manohar Lal (Flutist – AIR), enriching his repertoire with fresh perspectives while honoring the timeless essence of Banaras.

Crowning his academic pursuit, Dr. Kumar completed his doctoral degree under the supervision of Dr. Prem Kishore Mishra (BHU), a milestone that reflects his dedication to both scholarship and performance.
