Exploring the Connection Between Dance and Art at TASMAI
Dive into the fascinating world where movement meets creativity at TASMAI, a Centre for Art & Culture.
The workshop aims to introduce enthusiasts to two powerful artistic traditions—the Nava Rasas, or the nine emotions expressed through dance, and the Sadanga, or the six canons of artistic creation in visual arts.
This exclusive workshop titled “Connecting NAVARASAS in Dance with SADANGA in Arts: Learning through Experiencing” invites participants to explore the deep connection between dance and art.
Led by artists Varsha Pawar and Kirti Chandak, this engaging session will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
Participants will be divided into two groups, each led by the respective expert. One group will experience the expressive power of Nava Rasas through dance movements, while the other will learn about Sadanga through the practice of drawing and color expression. This hands-on approach offers a rare opportunity to immerse oneself in both the rhythmic elegance of Indian classical dance and the structured grace of fine arts.
