COEXISTENCE: PRINTS BY SHYAM SHARMA  –  TAKSHILA EDUCATION SOCIETY presents ‘COEXISTENCE: PRINTS BY SHYAM SHARMA,’ a captivating solo exhibition featuring the renowned Indigenous printmaker’s exceptional works at Visual art gallery, India Habitat Center, New Delhi (opening hours: 11.00 AM – 7.00 PM) from 17 February 2024 till 22 February 2024.

Celebrated Artist Shyam Sharma, the most respected Indigenous printmaker, showcases his mastery in printmaking and explores the profound theme of coexistence through his exceptional artworks, spanning over six decades at New Delhi now.

The exhibition unveils, “Eternal Youth: Despite his 84 years, Sharma’s boundless energy and childlike curiosity infuses his works with an infectious enthusiasm, captivating audiences worldwide,” says the organisers of the Show.  

“Sharma’s artistic journey transcends boundaries, exploring various forms of printmaking, including woodcut prints, clay blocks and mixed media, each reflecting his unique visual language,’ comments on the diverse expressions he has portrayed in the artworks.  

“Through floral patterns and fauna motifs, Sharma’s prints mirror the bountiful beauty of the natural world, inviting viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness of life.

From a seeker to a poet, Sharma’s multifaceted journey encompasses roles as an educator, performer and former chairperson of the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, enriching his artistic vision,” said the organisers of the exquisite artworks of the eminent artist Shyam Sharma.
