Celebrating Vidushi Uma Garg’s 75th Birth Year and 15 Glorious Years of Prawah Music Society
On Sunday, 14th September 2025, Triveni Kala Sangam in Mandi House, New Delhi, will resonate with the timeless spirit of Indian classical music and dance as Prawah Music Society commemorates two luminous milestones—75 years of Vidushi Uma Garg’s musical journey and 15 years of Prawah’s cultural stewardship.
The evening promises a confluence of artistry and homage, featuring eminent performers including Pandit Chetan Joshi, Pandit Ram Kumar Mishra, Vidushi Shovana Narayan, Pandit (Prof.) Krishna Bisht, Pandit Shailendra Mishra and Pandit Rajendra Prasanna.
With heartfelt tributes, live performances, and the presence of distinguished scholars and awardees, the celebration stands as a radiant testament to tradition, excellence and enduring legacy.
A Confluence of Melody, Tribute and Timeless Legacy
The evening at Triveni Kala Sangam promises a radiant celebration of Indian classical arts, where music becomes homage and memory turns melodic.
The program opens with a sublime flute recital by Pandit Chetan Joshi, accompanied by the dynamic tabla artistry of Pandit Ram Kumar Mishra, followed by a specially curated documentary honoring the life and legacy of Vidushi Uma Garg.
The soulful crescendo arrives with a Hindustani vocal recital by Vidushi Uma Garg herself, joined by her gifted disciples Dr. Rindana Rahasya and Dr. Rajnandini, with Pandit Shailendra Mishra on tabla and Shri Lalit Sisodia on harmonium.
The prestigious Prawah Awards 2025 will be conferred upon luminaries including Vidushi Shovana Narayan, Vidushi (Prof.) Krishna Bisht, Pandit Rajendra Prasanna, and emerging talent Dr. Avinash Kumar.
