CELEBRATE THE 6TH BANSHI NATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL 2024 IN KOLKATA
N B GANDHARBI, Center for Manipuri Art and Culture (CMAC) presents 6th Banshi National Dance Festival 2024, a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Padmashree Guru Th. Babu Singh. This grand event will take place on 2 November 2024, at 5:00 PM at the historic Rathindra Mancha, Jorasanko Thakurbari, Kolkata. The festival will be graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Smt. Ranjumoni Saikia, an SNA Awardee from Guwahati, Assam.
The Guru Th. Babu Singh Awards 2024 will honor distinguished artists including Smt. Ranjumoni Saikia from Guwahati, Assam; Shri Basanta Mukherjee from Santiniketan; Dr. Puspita Mukherjee from Kolkata and Dr. Sudha Dutta from Kolkata. Additionally, the Maa Sanjibani Award 2024 will be presented to Smt. Binapani Kakati from Guwahati, Assam; Smt. Jyoti Rakshit from Kolkata and Dr. Nanda Ghosh from Ranchi.
The Gandharva Award 2024 will be awarded to Shri Sourav Roy from Kolkata, and the Raseswari Award 2024 will honor Dr. Ambika Bandary from Durgapur and Karishma Ahuja from Bangalore.
The 6th Banshi National Dance Festival 2024 promises to be an unforgettable evening, beginning with a warm welcome address by Sudip Kumar Ghosh and Smt. Usharani Balshya Ankur Deka from Assam.
The program will feature captivating performances across various Indian dance forms, including Manipuri by NB Gandharbi CMAC, Odissi by Kalakhetram and Narteswar Cultural Center, Rabindra Nritya by Aradhana Dance Academy and NB Gandharbi CMAC, Bharatanatyam by Kalakarma Foundation, Kathak by Hindoli Niogi, Lagnota Das Roy, and Shivam Art Music and Dance Academy, Sattriya by students of Guru Ranjumoni Saikia, Mohiniyattam by Natyanova, and more.
The evening will be gracefully hosted by Smt. Meghna Nandi, ensuring a seamless and enchanting experience for all attendees.
