BOUNDLESS EMOTIONS – SOLO SHOW OF PAINTINGS BY PULAKESH MANDAL AT GURGAON

Galleryone, Gurgaon exhibits BOUNDLESS EMOTIONS – a Solo Show of paintings by renowned artist Pulakesh Mandal featuring a diverse array of artworks at DLF City, Phase IV, Gurgaon – 122 009 on 13 April 2024 till 30 April 2024.

“Pulakesh Mandal’s art has the power to completely transport the viewer to a mystical sphere. On view are an on-going series of works that has evolved through the years; this series brings together the inconsistency of everyday life and incompatible emotions into vibrant art pieces. There are several layers and the figure emanates a range of emotions that captivates the mind. Mandal, a self-taught painter has created dream like situations, inviting the viewer to join his trajectory of delving into the realm of figurative art and Expressionism. His wonderful creation of visible brushstrokes depicting actions, moods and emotions narrate several stories. However it is his deep engagement with cubism and mysticism that will attract the viewer,” says Uma Prakash, Curator of the show.

“His work reveals an intriguing world full of intensity that immediately arrests the viewer’s imagination. The works themselves can appear incompatible, a further representation of emotions that may at first appear disparate but upon closer inspection the strong connections are revealed,” she added.

Renowned artist Pulakesh Mandal has exhibited his vibrant art series nationally and also at Vienna, Austria. Recently he has exhibited in the group show, THE WINDS OF CHANGE at New Delhi.

Artist Pulakesh Mandal is the recipient of many awards including 28th National Exhibition of Contemporary Art, Nagpur awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India; Indian Icon Award 2015 and Rabindra Ratna Award by the Veyil Foundation (2024).

Artist Pulakesh Mandal has participated in many art camps and his art works were included in the book, ‘Flowering Cultures – Contemporary Artists from India’ published by The Benetton Foundation as a part of their Imago Mundi Project. He resides and works in New Delhi now.
