BEYOND EXPRESSIONS – SOLO EXHIBITION BY SANJAY PRAJAPATI

Renowned contemporary artist Sanjay Prajapati, hailing from Baroda is set to present his latest solo exhibition, ‘Beyond Expressions’ at Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Center, New Delhi on 7 January 2024 till 13 January 2024 (11.00 AM – 7.00 PM).

The exhibition curated by Nipun Soin will enchant art enthusiasts and wildlife advocates alike with his latest solo exhibition at New Delhi.

“The solo show – Beyond Expressions serves as a testament to Sanjay’s unwavering commitment to conservation. The exhibition, spanning nearly a decade, showcases his dedication to raising awareness about endangered species and their habitats. Notably, this collection will unveil for the first time, a comprehensive series focused on the majestic Gir Lions.

Sanjay Prajapati’s commitment to conservation extends beyond the canvas. Having traversed the diverse landscapes of India, he draws inspiration from his love of photography, gaining profound insights into the conservation challenges faced at local, regional and national levels. Through his artwork, Sanjay strives to initiate real change and convey a powerful message about wildlife preservation. The artist’s work has resonated not only with the public but also with prominent figures in politics, entertainment, business and the esteemed art-collecting community,” says Nipun Soin, Curator of the show.

“Born in 1984 in Baroda, Sanjay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (B.F.A) from M.S. University of Baroda, Faculty of Fine Arts in 2004. His distinctive artistic style, characterized by creating exotic versions of heaven, involves innovative techniques such as using metal leaf of gold, silver or copper, combined with paint to achieve illuminated qualities. Another signature style employs a unique process to create a luminous white surface intensifying colors into glowing gem-like qualities,” he added.

“Beyond Expressions delves into mankind’s deep fear, love and admiration for wildlife. Sanjay Prajapati’s unique approach, blending abstract forms with vivid colors, distinguishes his work and positions this exhibition as a must-see for art enthusiasts,” explains Curator, Nipun Soin.
