AN EVENING OF RAGA AND RESONANCE: INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERT

Posted on 1 November 2025:

A Day of Music, Learning and Cultural Joy at Hammond Museum

On 8 November 2025, from 2 PM to 8 PM, the Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden, 28 Deveau Rd, North Salem, New York, USA  will come alive with the sounds and spirit of Indian classical music.

This special event blends learning and performance in a peaceful, garden setting. The afternoon begins with a free workshop led by renowned Satyaki Dutta, a respected Sarod artist and the heart behind this program.

The concert will open with the graceful vocals of Mayitreyi Mehta, accompanied by the vibrant tabla artistry of Uchhal Banerjee and the gentle harmonium of Srikar Ayyalasomayajula.

Following a brief intermission, the stage will welcome Satyaki Dutta, a gifted Sarod maestro and the visionary behind this enriching program, joined by Raj Kumar Chatopadhyay’s expressive tabla.

As the evening deepens, renowned Sanchari Bhattacharya’s evocative voice will rise in song, supported by the familiar warmth of Uchhal Banerjee and Ayyalasomayajula.

This is more than a concert—it is a journey through melody, memory and shared cultural joy, bringing together master musicians, rising talents and curious hearts.

With heartfelt thanks to the Indian American Cultural Association of Westchester and The India Center, NYC, whose support makes this musical offering possible.
