ABHA – VIBHA CHAURASIA – TWIN SISTERS WHO HAVE DEDICATED THEIR LIFE AND SOUL TO HINDUSTANI MUSIC
“We sing from our heart so as to take the listener to the realm of eternal bliss, the sole motto of singing is to elevate our own consciousness and to uplift the consciousness of the audiences,” says the renowned twin sisters, Abha and Vibha, the eminent singers of Gwalior Gharana of Hindustani Classical music.
“My father Shri Ramnarayan Chaurasia and mother Smt. Madhubala Chaurasia inspired, supported and encouraged us, taught us to pursue the most subtle aspects of classical music. We were trained under the kind guidance of many renowned and respected musicians and vocalists, Dr. S.Tambe, Dr. Leelawati Adsule, Dr.S. Wad, Shri Kamal Kamle, Late Pandit Balasaheb Ji Poochwale, Pandit Prabhakar Gohadkar, Vidushi Kalpana Zokarkar. Studied semi-classical under the tutelage of Guru Aditi Banerjee, disciple of late renowned musician Padma Bhushan Shobha Gurtu; light music from Guruji Swatantra K Ojha and Guruji Pandit Kamal Kamle,” says the renowned artists.
The renowned artists Abha-Vibha have given enumerable performances of Indian Classical vocal music, light music solo and duet in India and abroad.

Empaneled Artiste of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR).
Received the award- ‘Pride of Madhya Pradesh’ by Award Council of India, Lucknow.
Attended as a judge in many National & state level music competitions.
Received ‘Sangeet Kalanidhi’ Award from Rashtriya Sangeetagya Pariwar at Akhil Bharatiya Sangeet Samaroh, Jhansi.
Received ‘Shastriya Sangeet Ratna’ Award from Nikunja Sewa Sansthan Vrindavn.
Received Baba Bhagwandas (Phulera) Sur Sadhika Samman award in Raag Utsav, Jaipur.
Honoured with Gold Medal from Chaurasia Samaj for securing second position in Post- Graduation.
Performed for many commercial recordings and also broadcasted Jugalbandi in World Space Radio and Surtarang Radio of Wolverhampton (U.K.).
