Parthasarathi Lenka — A Voice Born of Persistence

From the quiet lanes of Cuttack, emerged Parthasarathi Lenka, a bright star in the firmament of music. As a boy in the 1990s, he clung to his humble tape‑recorder, singing along with devotion—joking later, “My first Guru was my tape‑recorder.” Against the odds, and despite his father’s resistance, his grandfather recognized the spark and guided him toward classical training.

By 19, his first album announced him to the world, and soon his soulful voice began to resonate across stages and gatherings. Nurtured by Guru Shri Chandan Kumar Jena, and refined through studies at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and Utkal University of Culture, Parthasarathi’s journey is a testament to persistence, passion and the quiet power of music to transform life.

Today, working in a renowned school in Delhi NCR, he continues to enchant audiences with his poignant renditions—an artist who rose from simplicity to brilliance, carrying the fragrance of dedication in every note.

Parthasarathi Lenka — A Versatile Voice of Emotion

Born in Baruna in 1986, Parthasarathi Lenka carries the discipline of an army household and the richness of India’s diverse cultures within his music. His father’s service in the Indian Army meant constant movement, gifting him exposure to many traditions—perhaps the reason he sings with ease in multiple regional languages.

His father, Shri Sukant Charan Lenka, served in the Indian Army, and his mother, Mrs. Jyotsna Rani Lenka, a simple homemaker, supported her husband’s outlook that academics should guide their son’s future.

Yet destiny whispered otherwise. His grandfather Mr. Bhabagrahi Lenka, who owned an Orchestra party, recognised his passion for music and decided to encourage him. He observed him singing religiously day in and day out following the little tape-recorder that was gifted to him. Day after day, Parthasarathi sang along with his gifted tape‑recorder, a humble companion that became his first guru.

Encouraged by his grandfather, he was gently initiated into classical training, laying the foundation for a journey where passion overcame resistance and blossomed into artistry.

His first album, released in his youth, became an instant hit, celebrated for its soft, amorous voice. Emotional and romantic songs remain his hallmark, drawing audiences into their tender resonance.

Soon, offers from the Oriya film industry, television and radio followed, and his foreign tours expanded his reach, each step lifting his sonorous voice higher.

In Delhi, he embraced brighter prospects, singing in Haryanvi, Bhojpuri, Punjabi and more, sharing stages with Bollywood luminaries.

Yet, despite fame, Parthasarathi remains an artist of the people—his simple songs touch hearts, his honest devotion to music setting him apart in a crowded world of aspiring voices.

A journey of devotion– blossoms into music that carries both blossoming into pure song.
