Padma Awards 2026: Honouring Excellence at Rashtrapati Bhavan

In a solemn evening at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Padma Awards—India’s highest civilian honours—celebrating brilliance across literature, education, social work, arts, sports and culture. 

Journalist P. Narayanan and former judge KT Tomas received the Padma Vibhushan, while luminaries such as Vijay Amritraj, Mammootty, and Alka Yagnik were honoured with the Padma Bhushan.

The Padma Shri list shone with names including many dignitaries like Rohit Sharma, R. Madhavan, and Shashi Shekhar Vempati, alongside posthumous tributes to Shibu Soren and Satish Shah.

THE CEREMONY, GRACED BY VICE PRESIDENT CP RADHAKRISHNAN, PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI AND HOME MINISTER AMIT SHAH, STOOD AS A RADIANT TESTAMENT TO INDIA’S ENDURING SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE AND CULTURAL RICHNESS.
