Kala-Yoga Satsanga — A Sacred Journey to Singirikudi Narasimha Koil
TASMAI, Centre for Art & Culture, invites seekers to Kala-Yoga Satsanga — a cultural and spiritual gathering on Sunday, 12th April 2026, with a visit to the revered Sri Singirikudi Narasimha Koil near Pondicherry.
This temple, one of the celebrated Nava-Narasimha shrines of Tamil Nadu, holds profound significance as the abode of Ugra Narasimha, depicted with sixteen hands, fiercely protecting devotees by vanquishing the demon Hiranyakashipu.
Rooted in legend, the temple is said to have been worshipped by Sage Vasishta, alongside Parikal and Poovarasankuppam, forming a powerful triad of Narasimha temples. The visit will include meditation, chanting and an exploration of the temple’s history and architecture — offering participants not only cultural awareness but also spiritual growth.
