Guru Shakti Award Presented at Gurukulam Art Gallery in Kozhikode

In a graceful celebration of artistic brilliance, the prestigious Guru Shakti Award, instituted by the Gurukulam Cultural Trust, was ceremoniously presented in Kozhikode. The honor was bestowed upon the distinguished artist Suresh Koothuparamba, whose creative mastery and unwavering dedication to the canvas have earned him widespread admiration in the art world. 

The award ceremony unfolded at the serene and inspiring halls of the Gurukulam Art Gallery, a space long cherished for nurturing artistic expression and cultural dialogue.

The event was inaugurated by the renowned writer U. K. Kumaran, whose eloquent words added literary depth to the occasion. Eminent artist Madanan delivered a compelling lecture on “The Diversity in Painting,” illuminating the audience with reflections on the evolving language of visual art.

 The gathering was presided over by Gurukulam Babu, whose leadership and commitment continue to strengthen the institution’s cultural vision. The ceremony stood not merely as an award presentation, but as a heartfelt tribute to creativity, inspiration, and the enduring spirit of artistic excellence.

Distinguished cultural voices enriched the gathering with their thoughtful reflections. 

Kavil P. Madhavan, District Chairman of Samskara Sahithi, addressed the audience alongside noted artist C.K. Shibu Raj and Ashraf Kuruvattoor, State Treasurer of Yuvakala Sahithi. Shri. M. Lakshmanan, Principal, Calicut Fine Arts College, also spoke, emphasizing the transformative power of art in shaping cultural consciousness. 

The event commenced with a warm welcome by media professional Ravindran Kunnamangalam, while artist S.K. Sasi delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who made the occasion memorable. In a heartfelt response, Suresh Koothuparamba conveyed his deep appreciation, reflecting humbly on his artistic journey and the honor bestowed upon him.
