Krishnakumari Memorial Concert 2026 – A Tribute of Music and Dance in Bengaluru

The 4th edition of the Krishnakumari Memorial Concert unfolds on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Purandara Bhavana, Indira Nagar, Bengaluru. Guided by Guru Vid. Sri. M. Rajappa, the evening celebrates the timeless spirit of Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam through three distinct performances.

The concert begins with Purandara Namana, a soulful Carnatic vocal recital by his disciples, accompanied by Vid. Sri. Srinivas Anantharamaiah on mridangam, Vid. Sri. Sachin Deviprasad on ghatam, and Vid. Kum. Deepika M on violin. This is followed by Stree Shakti, featuring the Bangalore Sisters Kum. Deepika and Kum. Dhanya, supported by Vid. Smt. Prema Vivek on violin, Vid. Smt. Ranjani Venkatesh on mridangam, and Vid. Smt. Bhagyalakshmi M Krishna on morsing. 

The evening culminates with Siva Shakti, a Bharatanatyam presentation by disciples of Guru Vid. Smt. Chitra Arvind, Artistic Director of Rhythmotion, Bengaluru.

Hosted by the Vemparala and Madhwapathi families, the concert promises an evening of artistry and devotion.
