Breathing Lines: Kalaichemmal Raghavan.N’s Soulful Journey of Art in Pondicherry
In the heart of White Town, Puducherry, the Alliance Française Art Gallery opens its doors to a profound celebration of creativity—Breathing Lines, a solo exhibition by the eminent artist, sculptor, and art director Kalaichemmal Raghavan.N. This exhibition is not merely a showcase of drawings and paintings; it is a testament to the artist’s lifelong dialogue with form, rhythm and imagination. Each stroke carries the resonance of tradition while breathing new life into contemporary expression.
Dedicated to Mr. Laurent Jalicous, Director of Alliance Française de Pondicherry, whose vision gave artists a sanctuary to share their work, the exhibition embodies gratitude and artistic kinship.
The inauguration on 2nd February 2026 at 6 PM marks the beginning of a week-long journey, running from 3rd to 10th February 2026, with daily viewings from 10 AM to 7 PM. The closing ceremony on 10th February at 6 PM promises to be a moment of reflection, where art and audience meet in shared reverence.
Breathing Lines Between Dream and Vital Energy
In his drawings, Kalaichemmal Raghavan.N traces the delicate threshold between dream and awakening. Each line becomes a meditative passage, echoing the innocence of childhood sketches while unfolding into visions that connect the inner world of imagination with the shared human spirit.
His paintings, guided by the philosophy of Prana Parinamam—the evolution of vital energy—flow with the rhythm of breath itself. Every brushstroke mirrors inhalation and exhalation, transforming prana into colour, form and movement.
