Art Fusion Quartet in Color: A Celebration of Contemporary South Indian Expression at DakshinaChitra
In a vibrant confluence of color, form and cultural resonance, Art Fusion Quartet in Color – 2026 unfolds at the Kadambari Gallery, DakshinaChitra Heritage Museum, Tamil Nadu, starting from January 30 till 9 February 2026.
This evocative exhibition brings together four distinct artistic voices—R. Radjoucanane, S. Kothainayaki, K. Silambarasan, and C. Mounissamy—each weaving their own visual language into a collective tapestry of contemporary South Indian art.
Contemporary Echoes of Tradition: Artists from Puducherry
From ancient rock motifs to fluid watercolors, Puducherry’s renowned artists breathe new life into heritage.
Mounissamy C transforms stones into timeless canvases, preserving prehistoric memory through art. Silambarasan K captures the ascetic spirit of Varanasi sadhus with luminous watercolors that reflect culture and emotion. Radjoucannane R finds inspiration in butterflies, translating their delicate patterns into soulful acrylics. Kothainayaki S bridges sculpture and drawing, reimagining temple forms with rhythmic lines.
Together, their works embody a dialogue between tradition and modernity, safeguarding cultural spirit while celebrating contemporary creativity.
The inauguration ceremony on Friday, January 30 at 4 PM promises a luminous beginning, graced by Chief Guest Bhagwan Shankar Chavan, an eminent artist from Chennai whose presence underscores the exhibition’s stature. Joining him are Guest of Honor Kalamamani K. M. Saravanan and Thiru. K. Murugavel of Ellora Finearts & Culture Organisation, Puducherry—figures whose contributions to the arts continue to inspire generations.
Set against the serene backdrop of Chemmanpet, Tamil Nadu, the DakshinaChitra Museum offers an immersive experience, open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM (extended to 7 PM on weekends, closed Tuesdays).
