Gharana Festival 2026: A Soulful Tribute to India’s 77th Republic Day Through Classical Resonance
As India steps into its 77th Republic Day, the heart of New Delhi will pulse with the timeless rhythms of tradition at the Gharana Festival 2026.
Presented by Swaranjali, New Delhi, this evocative celebration of Indian Classical Music unfolds on January 25th, from 2 to 9 p.m., at the esteemed C. D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.
More than a concert, it is a cultural homage—where heritage meets harmony, and generations of artistry converge in reverence to the nation’s spirit.
The festival’s tapestry is rich with illustrious names and soulful ensembles. From the vibrant voices of The Shriram Millennium School, Faridabad, led by Dr. Rindana Rahasya, to the stirring sitar of Dr. Shubhrodeep Pathak and the intricate tabla of Pandit Dipin Raj, each performance promises to be a journey into the depths of raga and rasa. The disciples of Shri Partha Sarathi Lenka will offer a group vocal tribute, accompanied by Pandit Sidhartha Chatterjee’s tabla, while solo renditions by Pandit Santosh Nahaar, Pandit Ojesh Pratap Singh, and Pandit Abhay Rustum Sopori will echo with spiritual gravitas.
Supporting this melodic constellation are revered co-artists—Pandit Bharat Bhushan Goswami, Pandit Sushmoy Mishra, Pandit Jitendra Swain, PanditPradip Kumar Sarkar, Pandit Rajendra Prasad Banerjee, Vid. Sagar Gujrati, Shri Chanchal Singh, Shri Mukesh Bhardwaj and Shri Ujith Udaya Kumar—each a torchbearer of their gharana’s legacy.
With the gracious support of NTPC and IndiaHive, and hosted by SWARANJALI, this festival is more than an event—it is an invitation to immerse oneself in the soul of India. As the Republic Day dawns, Gharana Festival 2026 stands as a lyrical offering to the nation, where every note is a prayer, every rhythm a celebration, and every performance a promise to keep our cultural flame alive.
