Dr. Mahua Mukherjee at Jhankriti 2025: A Celebrated Scholar Illuminates Dance and Education

Dr. Mahua Mukherjee, the esteemed Artistic Founder‑Director of Gaudiya Nritya Bharati and one of India’s most respected scholars and performers, graced the annual concert Jhankriti 2025 as Chief Guest at Sri Ram Narayan Singh Memorial High School, Kolkata. 

Held on 15 December at the iconic Kala Mandir in Kolkata, the evening brought together students, teachers and families in a celebration of learning, culture and artistic expression. 

Principal Dr. Pooja Meher and the young performers welcomed Dr. Mukherjee with warmth and admiration as she took the stage to speak on the deep connection between dance and education.

In her lecture, Dr. Mahua Mukherjee brought her characteristic clarity and grace, highlighting how dance nurtures discipline, imagination and emotional intelligence.
