Dr. Larissa Noury at the 72nd Salon Charenton: A Visionary Voice in Contemporary Art
Dr. Larissa Noury, celebrated architect, designer and painter, brings her luminous artistic vision to the 72nd edition of the Salon Charenton—one of France’s most respected contemporary art gatherings.
Held at the Espace Art et Liberté in Charenton-le-Pont, this annual fair gathers leading artists whose works reflect the pulse of today’s creative world.
From December 11, 2025 to January 21, 2026, visitors will encounter artworks that respond to current artistic trends and the deeper questions shaping our society.
The inauguration unfolded with a warm and dignified atmosphere, graced by the presence of several distinguished cultural leaders. Among them were Mr. Hervé Gicquel, Mayor of Charenton-le-Pont and Vice-President of the Val-de-Marne Departmental Council; Ms. Delphine Herbert, Deputy Mayor in charge of culture; and Mr. Frédéric Mette, Director of the Art and Freedom Center. The event also honoured the remarkable artist Adela Burdujanu, invited as the guest of honour, adding a special artistic depth to the evening.
More than 500 guests—artists, enthusiasts and community members—gathered to discover the selected works in a spacious, welcoming setting. The inauguration celebrated creative talent and invited the public to connect more deeply with contemporary art, marking a graceful and memorable start to the Salon’s new edition.
Guided by Immanuel Kant’s timeless idea that “Art does not want the representation of a beautiful thing but the beautiful representation of a thing,” Dr. Noury’s presence at the Salon feels especially meaningful. Her work has always embraced this philosophy—transforming colour, form and space into poetic experiences. Exhibitions like the Salon Charenton play a vital role in helping audiences appreciate the richness of modern artistic expression, and Dr. Noury’s contribution adds a distinctive voice to this shared cultural moment.
Dr. Larissa Noury’s painting “Serenity” became one of the most admired works of the exhibition, drawing viewers into its calm, radiant world. Many were moved by her unique technique, where colours flow in perfect harmony and carry the quiet energy of nature. Visitors spoke of the way she “dusts light magically across the canvas,” creating a spell of deep blue tones that feel both magical and immersive. Others described her palette as a “blue symphony,” a space that drifts between Caribbean waters and shimmering sapphire.

In these gentle hues, people found depth, emotion and a quiet invitation to dream. As André Malraux beautifully said, “Art is the shortest way from man to man.
For decades, the Salon has opened a window into the rich diversity of regional and international art, bringing painting, engraving, photography, drawing, mixed media and sculpture together in one inspiring space.
This year, with its focus on social realities, the environment and the role of art in urban life, the exhibition feels especially timely.
