The program featured writers, scientists, journalists, and artists through roundtables, lectures, performances, and a spirited read-aloud competition for students. Musical interludes and the support of “La nouvelle page” bookstore added warmth to the celebration. In partnership with “Act for Reading – Overcoming Illiteracy”, the festival shone as a testament to the power of creativity to inspire, educate, and unite communities.

Distinguished figures enriched the program: Mr. Hubert Robert, Lions Club Paris, Dean of France, presented Lions International; while Ms. Brigitte Albert-Jacouty, Delegate of the Humanism Commission (Club Paris Eiffel), guided the presentation of authors and artists.

“Like any gathering, this festival took place in a friendly atmosphere and was further enhanced by excellent conferences,” said  Mr. Hubert ROBERT , Lions Club Paris and Dean of France.

The presence of Anne-Marie Janicki, Governor 2025–2026 (Club Paris Eiffel), and Ms. Josiane Gaude, who magnificently organized the festival, added further prestige.

Colors come alive — art becomes living poetry

The artistic spirit of the gathering was illuminated by the works of visual creators renowned Larissa Noury, Ghyslain Levy, Bernard Soupre, Dominique Weil, and Jacques Martor, whose creations offered beauty and inspiration to all who attended.

The roundtables became the heart of the festival, drawing audiences into lively discussions. Themes such as “The Joy or Humor of Life” by Ghyslain Levy and Charlotte Segonzac, and “Why Tell One’s Past?” captivated listeners.

Equally engaging was “Dazzling Paris! A Painter John Sargent and his Model Marie Renar” presented by Emily Eells and Michèle Dassas.

Lectures by Simon Choumer and General Dominique Delort added depth and variety to the program.

A special charm filled the atmosphere with the read-aloud competition for middle school students and musical interludes accompanying the painters’ and sculptors’ exhibition. These moments blended literature, art and performance into a shared celebration of creativity.

Brigitte Albert-Jacouty, President of the Lions Club Paris Eiffel and Delegate to the Humanism-Culture Commission, emphasized the uniqueness of this fourth festival. By adding an artistic dimension to the traditional literary focus, the event featured sculptors, painters, a graphic designer, and performers. The grand ballroom, bright and welcoming, became a stage for visual art and music.

“It was a great pleasure to participate in the arts and letters festival, organized by the Lions Club Paris Eiffel at the 7th arrondissement town hall. It was a long but very intense day, rich in emotions and artistic and literary encounters. I was very happy to be able to present my work, bring my colors to it, see people’s wonder, and make interesting connections.” — Larissa Noury

At the Salon, renowned artist Larissa Noury captivated audiences with a rich presentation of her four books on color, tactile paintings, and posters, alongside the exhibition and performance of her hand-painted dresses — her celebrated “Living Tableaux.” These creations, blending art and fashion, drew particular admiration from visitors and sparked keen interest in showcasing her full collection later in the season.

“The ambitions are to put reading and the fight against illiteracy at the forefront….  Our special thanks to everyone who helped, participated, and facilitated the smooth running of the literary festival. I am very touched and grateful. We will do even better next year…” –Anne-Marie Janicki, Governor 2025-2026 (Club Paris Eiffel)
