Dr. Larissa Noury’s Paris Exhibition Explores the Soul Through Color and Memory

IN THE HEART OF HISTORIC MONTMARTRE, THE GALLERY “THE CITY OF ARTS AT THE VILLA DES ARTS” OPENED ITS DOORS TO A MESMERIZING JOURNEY TITLED THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF THE SOUL, AN EXHIBITION BY RENOWNED PARIS-BASED ARTIST AND COLORIST DR. LARISSA NOURY.

From October 27 to November 2, 2025, visitors from across continents—France, Japan, Italy, Cameroon, China, Korea and more—were drawn into her poetic world of color, emotion and memory.

A visionary architect, designer and painter, Dr. Larissa Noury unveiled her unique pictorial techniques and books in the very space once graced by legends like Cézanne, Rousseau, and Picabia. Her art whispered stories of the soul, blending dreamlike hues with timeless reflections, leaving every viewer touched by beauty and depth.

DR. LARISSA NOURY’S SOULFUL BRUSHSTROKES: PAINTING THE INVISIBLE IN PARIS

In her recent exhibition at Villa des Arts, Paris, celebrated artist and colorist Dr. Larissa Noury invited viewers into a world beyond time and space—a universe shaped by emotion, memory, and the unseen. A resident of Montmartre for 26 years and of Belarusian origin, Dr. Noury blends her many passions—art, design, architecture, writing and teaching—into a vibrant tapestry of creation. Her paintings, inspired by ancient civilizations and the beauty of cities and landscapes she has explored, reflect a deep inner journey.

“Painting,” she says, “is not about the visible, but the invisible—it’s a state of mind.” With each brushstroke, she captures energies and harmonies that speak to the soul, offering a poetic dialogue between solitude and the world’s wonders. Her work is a living archaeology of inspiration, where color becomes memory and imagination becomes truth.

“In painting, it is my tactile sense of color that constructs the images, but abstraction better reflects my state of mind. Landscapes of both the visible and invisible worlds emerge on the canvases, leaving room for surprise, the unpredictable, the enigmatic unknown that remains to be discovered and interpreted. After the grand inauguration, journalist Quel Natalia beautifully described Dr. Larissa Noury’s work as “the architecture of the soul, like the eternity of stone.”

Her exhibition revealed a universe where colors echo emotions, and each canvas becomes a timeless trace of dreams, memories, and human essence.

Visitors from around the world filled the golden book with heartfelt words—calling her art magical, meditative and dreamlike.

A highlight of the week was the enchanting evening dedicated to Tableaux Vivants—a living canvas of emotion and beauty—paired with the book signings of Haute Couture by Jean-Mari Pujol and World of Colour: New Impressionism and Fashion by Dr. Larissa Noury.
