Gallery Ragini’s 20-Year Celebration: “Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps” at Bikaner House

Marking a luminous milestone in its artistic journey, Gallery Ragini celebrates 20 years of contemporary art with a landmark exhibition titled “Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps.”

Curated by Meena Vari, “Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps” brings together over 50 artists—from iconic names to rising voices—who continue to shape the story of Indian art.

Held from 24th to 28th October 2025 at CCA, Bikaner House, New Delhi, the exhibition is not just a look back—it’s a living conversation. It honours Gallery Ragini’s legacy as a space where memory meets imagination, and where the future of art quietly unfolds.

“The exhibition is imagined as a space of becoming, inspired by philosopher Gilles Deleuze’s notion that identity is never fixed but constantly in flux,” says Meena Vari. “Over the last twenty years, Gallery Ragini has evolved through the diverse voices of its artists. This exhibition reflects that journey -where each artwork becomes a strand in a larger weave of shared histories, personal memories, and collective transformations.”

In its twentieth year, Gallery Ragini unveils an exhibition that pulses with life and legacy.

“Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps” is more than an exhibition—it’s a living rhythm of art and memory. By uniting seasoned masters with rising voices, Gallery Ragini becomes a space where ideas breathe, stories unfold, and creativity reflects the changing heart of Indian society. For twenty years, the gallery has nurtured bold expression and thoughtful dialogue. This anniversary show is a quiet celebration of what has been, and a luminous invitation to what’s yet to come.

Among the featured artists are Ameen Khaleel, Bharti Verma, Bose Krishnamachari, Chetnaa, Dhruvi Acharya, Gigi Scaria, Harsha Chennangodu, Jagannath Panda, Mithu Sen, Murali Cheeroth, Pushpamala N, Rajan Krishnan, Rekha Rodwittiya, Sajeev Visweswaran, Valay Gada, Vibha Galhotra, Vishakha Apte, Vivek Vilasini, and many more—each contributing a distinct voice to this collective narrative of Indian contemporary art.

“This exhibition is deeply personal for me. Twenty years ago, Ragini began as a small but passionate initiative to create a space for dialogue between artists, audiences, and ideas. Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we’re not only honouring the artists who have been part of our journey but also embracing a new generation of creators who will define our shared future. Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps is a celebration of continuity, courage and creativity – the threads that bind our story together.” — Nidhi Jain, Founder & Director, Gallery Ragini

In “Between the Strands, Time Bends and Warps,” curator Meena Vari threads together memory and meaning with quiet strength. Her vision places Gallery Ragini’s 20-year journey within a larger story—where artists, institutions, and culture move together, shaping and reshaping the way we see the world.

This exhibition becomes a gentle chorus of voices, echoing across time, and reminding us that art is always in motion.
