Grace in Motion: Dr. Mahua Mukherjee’s Workshop at Berhampore Uzaan Natya Utsav 2025

At the heart of the Berhampore Uzaan Natya Utsav 2025, a luminous workshop led by Dr. Mahua Mukherjee promises to be a soulful journey into the world of classical dance. 

A celebrated scholar and exponent of Gaudiya Nritya, Dr. Mukherjee brings her deep knowledge and graceful presence to Rabindra Sadan, Berhampore, on 14 October 25. 

Organized in collaboration with Berhampore Girl’s College and supported by Paschimbanga Natya Academy, the full day workshop invites participants to explore the poetic rhythm of tradition. 

Alongside co-trainers Dr. Saibal Roy and Srimati Shrabani Maitra, Dr. Satabdi Acharya, Dr. Mukherjee and renowned  musician  Pandit Amitava Mukhopadhyay will guide dancers through splendid mythological tales and  this session explores timeless tales—Putana’s liberation, Krishna’s memory of Rama, and Radha’s longing in Geet-Gobinda—each retold through expressive dance. 

It is not just a training, but a sacred gathering where tradition breathes and stories come alive through every gesture.
