Lasyaprabha 2025: A Dance Festival Honoring the Parent-Child Bond Through Classical Art
In a rare celebration of love, legacy and rhythm, Lasyaprabha 2025 brings together three iconic duos who embody the timeless connection between parent and child—on stage and in soul.
Presented by Nrityadhwani, this Bengaluru-based festival showcases the grace of Kuchipudi with Vyjayanthi Kashi and Prateeksha Kashi, the elegance of Bharatanatyam with Pulikeshi Kasturi and Samruddhi Pulikeshi, and the lyrical beauty of Odissi with Yasomati Mishra and Saanvi Thakur.
Nrityadhwani
—Yasomati Mishra’s Journey of Grace, Legacy and Giving Back Through Odissi Dance
From the sacred rhythms of Bhubaneshwar to the vibrant pulse of Bengaluru, Smt Yasomati Mishra has danced her way into the hearts of many. As the founder of Nrityadhwani, she carries the legacy of Odissi with quiet strength and deep devotion. Trained under the legendary Late Guru Padmavibhushan Shri Kelucharan Mohapatra and Guru Raghunath Dutta, and now refining her art under the guidance of Guru Shri Ratikanta Mohapatra and Guru Smt Sujata Mohapatra, her journey is steeped in reverence and relentless pursuit of excellence.
Sixteen years ago, a simple wish to share her love for dance with her daughter, Saanvi Thakur, blossomed into Nrityadhwani—a space where tradition meets nurturing. Here, Yasomati Mishra teaches with care, offering her students not just technique, but a soulful understanding of movement, music and meaning. Her unwavering spirit and heartfelt gratitude to her Gurus shine through every class, every performance, and every step taken by her disciples. Nrityadhwani is more than a dance school—it is a living tribute to dedication, legacy, and the joy of passing the torch.
Now in its fourth year, Lasyaprabha blossoms as a national dance festival that brings together the brilliance of classical traditions from across India.

Inspired by the timeless Vedic truth—Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, “The world is one family”—this year’s edition celebrates love, lineage, and togetherness.
Founder Smt Yasomati Mishra finds deep joy in sharing the stage with her daughter, and now opens the spotlight to many parent-child duos, weaving stories of kinship through movement. Each performance becomes a thread in a larger tapestry—an offering to the community that nurtures the art, and a tribute to the bonds that make us one.
Saanvi Thakur
—A Young Torchbearer of Odissi Grace
Saanvi Thakur, a Grade 11 student at National Public School, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, carries the rhythm of Odissi in her soul. Under the loving guidance of her mother, Smt Yasomati Mishra—herself a disciple of legendary Gurus—Saanvi began her dance journey at the tender age of five. Her dedication soon blossomed into recognition, earning her the National Junior Scholarship in 2019 from CCRT, Ministry of Culture.
With graceful performances across prestigious festivals, she has won hearts and honors alike, including the Nrutyashree, Nritya Vismaya, and Navarasa Nayiki awards. Saanvi’s art is not just learned—it is lived, with every movement echoing her passion and promise.
