Baikharee’s 25th Annual Tribute to Pandit Bibhuti Bhusan Acharya: A Celebration of Classical Music and Dance in Kolkata
Baikharee, a cultural institution founded in 2000, warmly invites all to its 25th Annual Music Program—an evening dedicated to the memory of Sangitacharya Late Pandit Bibhuti Bhusan Acharya (1917 -1995).
This soulful tribute will take place on Sunday, October 12th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, located at 108–109 Southern Avenue, Kolkata.
The evening opens with a vibrant Durga Vandana, performed by a talented ensemble of artists including Moinee Chatterjee, Sukanya Chatterjee, Kokli Choudhary, Mahua Guha, Arunkiran Sutradhar and Swastik Sen.
A series of solo songs will follow, featuring the melodious voices of Somak Chatterjee, Atri Chatterjee, Sourish Roy, Sohini Mukherjee, Shibani Banerjee, Anrini Chatterjee, Sanjay Ghosh, Ratna Mukherjee and Gautam Acharya.
A Bharatanatyam solo by renowned Anuradha Pal will bring classical dance to life, followed by a solo harmonium recital by the esteemed Pandit Pranab Acharya, whose artistry continues to inspire generations.
The evening also features musical offerings by Bidushi Bonya Banerjee and Saswati Bagchi, adding depth and variety to the program.
Accompaniment will be provided by a distinguished lineup: Tabla: Abhijit Roy Chowdhuri, Bilal Khan Salonvi, Subham Acharya; Harmonium: Pandit Pranab Acharya, Gautam Acharya and Tanpura: Chayanika Chakraborty.
