Get ready for an unforgettable evening steeped in tradition and artistry as The Dover Lane Music Conference and The Dover Lane Music Academy present “Evenings of Indian Classical Music & Dance” on 5th September 2025, from 6 PM onwards.
Held at the iconic Sovabajar Rajbari, Gopinath Bari, Kolkata, this cultural celebration will feature captivating performances by renowned artists Mehuli Bhattacharya (Bharatanatyam), Jui Dhaygude-Pande (Vocal), Souparno Ghosh (Violin), Pradip Palit (Harmonium), Suman Sarkar (Tabla), and Samar Saha (Tabla).
With each artist bringing their own mastery and emotion to the stage, the event promises to be a soulful tribute to India’s rich classical heritage.
A Night of Grace and Rhythm – 6th September at Sovabajar Rajbari
Presented by The Dover Lane Music Conference and The Dover Lane Music Academy, Day 2 of “Evenings of Indian Classical Music & Dance” promises a rich tapestry of performances.
Audiences will be treated to the expressive Odissi dance of renowned Susnigdha Chakraborty, the melodic vocals of Sagnik Sen and Rakhi Chatterjee, and the stirring Sarod recital by Shiraz Ali Khan. Accompanying them are masterful musicians—Samir Nandi, Bivash Sanghai, and Rupak Bhattacharjee on Tabla; Sanatan Goswami and Kamalaksha Mukherjee on Harmonium.
Beginning at 5:30 PM, this evening will be a celebration of tradition, artistry and cultural harmony.
A Celebration of Melody and Movement – 7 September at Sovabajar Rajbari
On 7th September 2025, Sovabajar Rajbari will once again open its doors to an enchanting evening of Indian classical music and dance, as Day 3 of “Evenings of Indian Classical Music & Dance” unfolds with elegance and emotion.
The event will feature soulful vocal performances by renowned musicians, Maitrayee Roy in vocal to be concluded after Sanchali Chatterjee, accompanied by Nabarun Dutta and Ashoke Mukherjee on Tabla, and Hiranmay Mitra and Chaitali Roy on Harmonium.
The evening will also showcase the expressive Kathak dance of renowned artist Titisha Ghosh, and a captivating Sitar–Sarod jugalbandi by Mor Mukut Kedia and Manoj Kedia, supported by Parimal Chakraborty on Tabla.
Beginning at 5:30 PM, this gathering at Gopinath Bari promises to be a heartfelt tribute to India’s timeless artistic traditions.
