Barish Ki Ragaayan: A Soulful Monsoon Concert in Kolkata

As the rains descend upon Kolkata, Manindra Sangeet Tirtha, Kolkata,  invites all to immerse in Barish Ki Ragaayan—a two-day musical celebration that echoes the rhythm of the monsoon on August 16th and 17th, 2025.

Presented at the Rammohan Library Hall, this two-day musical offering brings together the soulful vocals of Vidushi Nabanita Chowdhary, the intricate tabla artistry of Indranil Mallick, and the gentle harmonies of Kamalaksha Mukherjee on harmonium. Each note is a raindrop, each rhythm a breeze—inviting listeners into a space where tradition flows freely and the monsoon sings its eternal song.

This evocative event also features a constellation of talented artists including Pranavi Pradhan, Arnab Bhattacharya, Soumi Majumdar, and many more, with the legendary Ustad Sabir Khan gracing the occasion as chief guest. 

From the resonant strings of the sarod to the emotive cadence of the tabla and harmonium, each performance promises to be a tribute to the season’s poetic spirit.
