METRO AND OTHER SERVICES WILL BE STARTED

On Saturday, 29 August 2020 the Union Home Ministry issued the Unlock 4 Guidelines and announced to open Metro rail services from 7 September 2020 and other activities in a phased manner. Political, social, cultural, entertainment, sports and religious congregations of up to 100 people will be permitted from 21 September, 2020.

The States will not be allowed to impose lockdowns at state, district, sub division or city levels except in containment zones without the prior permission of Union Home Ministry.

However Schools, Colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed till 30 September 2020 with relaxations for students of Class 9 to 12. Students of Classes 9 to 12 are permitted to visit the schools outside the containment zones with written consent from the parents.

Research scholars and students in technical colleges will be permitted in consultation with the department of higher education for laboratory work.        In weddings, the number of people allowed will be increased to 100 from 50.  For funerals, the number of people allowed will be increased to 100 from 20.

Open air theatres can be started  from  21 September 2020. 

Cinema Halls, Swimming Pools and entertainment parks will remain closed.  International air travel will remain suspended except the special flights.

The movement of the trains will continue to be regulated as per the existing standard operating procedure.

 All movements and gatherings should be followed by wearing masks,   using sanitizer /hand wash and keeping social distancing.

However lockdown will be strictly implemented in containment zones till 30 September 2020.
