Guru Pranam Utsav 2026 – Bhaavarpan: A Forthcoming Tribute to Tradition and Vande Mataram
In the heart of New Delhi, the Guru Pranam Utsav ’26 – Bhaavarpan unfolds as a luminous tribute to the timeless Guru-Shishya Parampara, organized by Vaishali Kala Kendra and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
This coming April 9th and 10th, 2026, New Delhi will witness a radiant cultural extravaganza that unites devotion, heritage and national pride. The Guru Pranam Utsav ’26 – Bhaavarpan will serve as a dual celebration: honoring the sacred Guru-Shishya Parampara and commemorating the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, the song that continues to embody the soul of the motherland.
On 9 April 2026, the festival will open with an evening dedicated to the divine grace of Indian classical dance at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Center.
The inaugural night will be graced by Shri. Raju Das, Secretary of the Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA), as the Chief Guest. Audiences can look forward to spellbinding performances by:
- Guru Dr. Jyoti Shrivastava & Troupe – renowned Odissi artists.
- Padmashri Pratibha Prahlad – celebrated Bharatanatyam exponent.
- Guru Smt. Minu Thakur – distinguished Kuchipudi maestro.
On 10 April 2026, the celebration will continue at the Amaltas Auditorium, 7:00 PM onwards, with an evening devoted to the timeless spirit of Indian classical music.
This night of melody and national pride will welcome Shri. Indranil Gupta, Founder Director and CEO of BrandNEW, as the Chief Guest. The musical lineup will feature:
- Shri Siddharth Kishore – acclaimed classical vocalist.
- Shri. Siddharth Dalbehera – eminent flautist.
- Shri. Shubhendu Das – masterful tabla exponent.
Together, these luminaries will create an atmosphere where devotion becomes offering, and where tradition and innovation harmonize to celebrate India’s cultural soul.
