37 Mallar Utsav 2026: Dumdum Samarpan’s Grand Classical Music Festival in Kolkata

Since its founding in January 1989, Dumdum Samarpan, an esteemed academy for the aesthetic study and training of fine arts, has nurtured Kolkata’s deep-rooted love for Hindustani classical music.

Organized in association with Ghosh Harmonium, Dum Dum, Kolkata – this legacy continues with the 37th edition of Mallar Utsav, a soulful evening dedicated to the timeless traditions of Indian classical music, presented under the humble discipleship of Sagar Ch. Ghosh to his revered guide, Binoy Bhurhan Bose.

The festival unfolds on Saturday, 5th September 2026, at Gandhi Seva Sangha, 207/1 S.K. Deb Road, Kolkata – 700048 (near Daffodil Nursing Home, with VIP bus stop at Lake Town). The evening begins at 3:30 PM, and in keeping with the spirit of art for all, entry is completely free.
